Area Sales Manager – Midlands

Our client is a recognised leader in its core business of assembly and fastening materials

They are looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands, specialising in the Wood sector.

Main aspects and elements of the role (not exhaustive):
 To lead and direct a Geographical Sales Area/Team within the Sales Channel
 To lead and manage a divisional team of up to 10 Field Sales Consultants in achieving their monthly sales,
gross profit and other relevant KPI targets set by the Company.
 To embrace the Würth UK culture, standards and strategy, whilst working in co-operation alongside
colleagues within the other Sales Channels, Divisions and internal operations.
Main Responsibilities/Tasks (not exhaustive):
 Manage a team of approximately 8-10 divisional Sales Consultants
 Achieve the agreed plans for annual and monthly sales and profit targets for the Team
 Maintain stability of and further develop the existing and potential customer base within the framework
provided by the Company
 Accountable for local recruitment and ongoing team motivation
 Control customer fluctuation and maintain a positive overall customer balance in the team
 Under the framework provided by HR and the Sales Management train, motivate and develop the Team and
the individuals therein through regular workouts (minimum of 70% field time), monthly one-to-one talks and
regular team meetings. In addition identify development needs and potential with the Team in conjunction
with development initiatives provided by the Company.
 Identify and develop talent and up-and-coming staff within the team
 Effectively deliver the relevant divisional strategies within the Team, under the guidance/support of the
Division Manager and Senior Sales Management.

Experience/Skills Required:
 Proven Track Record in Direct Sales
 Proven Track record of managing people
 Ability to understand customers needs and requirements
 Ability to understand consultant needs and requirements
 Excellent time management and facilitation skills
 Skilled in recruiting, training and motivating sales people
 Demonstrable business acumen and market awareness
 Ability to think laterally and identify the need for change
 Flexible and open minded approach towards managing their unit effectively across different market fields

In return you will be offered a great basic of £33k, OTE of £36,500 to £49,500 + Company Car, iPad, Laptop, Mobile Phone
