Completions Consultant

My client, a leading Specialist lender, is looking to recruit a Completions Consultant/Mortgage Administrator to efficiently carry out all administrative duties, to contribute to the completion of mortgage solutions.

BASIC UP TO 26K +_POTENTIAL 3.5K BONUS

The Mortgage Completions Consultant plays a key role in managing the final stages of the mortgage process, ensuring that all legal and financial requirements are met before the mortgage is completed. You will work closely with clients, solicitors, and lenders to ensure a smooth transition from offer to completion, ensuring compliance and maintaining high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mortgage Completion Process: Oversee the mortgage completion process from offer to funds being released, ensuring that all documentation is correct and in line with the lender’s requirements.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the completion stage, providing updates and responding to queries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Document Review and Verification: Ensure all legal and financial documents required for mortgage completion are reviewed and verified. This includes ensuring that all conditions of the mortgage offer have been met, such as property valuations, insurance, and any required paperwork from solicitors or brokers.
  • Liaise with Solicitors and Lenders: Work closely with solicitors, brokers, and lenders to ensure the timely exchange of information and documents, facilitating a smooth and timely mortgage completion.
  • Mortgage Completion Administration: Maintain accurate records of all client communications, transactions, and status updates in the internal systems. Complete any required administrative tasks to support the team, including processing documents and arranging completion dates.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the completion process. Work to resolve problems swiftly, ensuring that clients are not negatively impacted by delays.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the completion process, addressing any concerns, explaining next steps, and managing expectations.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, accessible manner.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage process, including the legal and compliance requirements for mortgage completion.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with high-pressure situations or complex client queries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools and systems for case management and documentation (e.g., mortgage systems, Microsoft Office).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within the mortgage or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of mortgage completion processes and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage products and lenders’ requirements.
  • Previous experience in liaising with clients, solicitors, and lenders would be advantageous.

Desirable:

  • A relevant mortgage qualification (e.g., CeMAP or equivalent) would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with mortgage administration or case management systems.
