My client is a successful Financial Advice Intermediary, focusing on Wealth management / pension / investment / mortgage planning / insurance advice
They already manage over £200m of client assets, and are now looking for looking for an experienced Operations Manager who is strong with people, comfortable making decisions and genuinely enjoys making processes work better.
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to personally pick up every problem. We need someone who can build capable managers, delegate well, hold people accountable and keep the operation moving.
What you’ll do
• Lead and develop our operational Team Leaders.
• Own people management, performance and operational recruitment.
• Plan capacity and make sure workload is in the right place.
• Use simple KPIs to understand performance and spot issues early.
• Own and improve workflows and processes.
• Build a strong two-way relationship between Sales and Operations – making sure advisers are well supported, while also helping Sales improve adviser ownership of their own pipelines and the quality of work passed into Operations.
• Make routine operational decisions and escalate only when it genuinely needs Director input.
• Help the team adopt better tools, technology and ways of working.
About you
• You already have solid management experience – this won’t be your first management role.
• You’ve worked in financial services. Wealth management / IFA experience would be ideal, but SJP experience isn’t important.
• You’re a strong people manager: supportive, clear and able to have difficult conversations.
• You make decisions, delegate and follow through.
• You’re process-minded and naturally look for a better way of doing things.
• You’re comfortable in an informal, social business where the pace can change quickly.
Package
• £45,000–£50,000 base salary, depending on experience.
• Performance bonus of around £3,000–£5,000 a year.
• 8% total pension contribution.
• Cash benefits plan.
• On-site parking.
• Monday–Friday, 9:00–5:30, office based in Segensworth.
THIS IS AN OFFICE BASED ROLE AND IS NOT HYBRID OR REMOTE
The office is busy but has great facilities to relax (Pool Table, Break out area with TV, Café, the ability to join the Office gym for a monthly cost.) The company socialise regularly, and there is an annual overseas incentive. They also participate in regular charity work.
