Our client is a leading Hotel group with a stunning, vibrant property based in Bridgwater. They are looking to recruit a Hotel Manager to join their busy team.

This is a Managers position for someone who has a broad level of experience, ideally having worked within a branded hotel environment.

The ideal person will be passionate about driving a new business forward. To create demand for all segments within the local Bridgwater Market by telesales and direct field sales appointments building relationship with clients and achieving above budgeted sales revenue

  • To work within defined minimum standards which will apply to all operations, and to ensure that these standards are continuously maintained.
  • To be familiar with all product offerings in competitor hotels and communicate any changes in the local marketing place to the General Manager
  • To research new business and contract local corporate accounts in line with volume and budget targets.
  • To research and create demand for Conference business with local corporate clients and agents to exceed conference and events budgeted targets.
  • To complete at least 8 qualified appointments per week with new and existing clients to develop corporate business.
  • To complete a minimum of 12 telesales calls to new companies per week.
  • To proactively investigate existing business in the hotels in city and convert to their hotel.

  • To proactively investigate existing business in the hotels in city and convert to our hotel. • To develop relationships with Agents and carry out presentations to ensure total awareness
  • To devise programme of fam visits with agents and corporates and assist in hosting events at Hotel to assist in creating demand
  • To research potential group/tour business and specialist group business
  • To carry out effective showrounds of hotel
  • To complete administration on a timely basis to ensure all clients are contracted and accounts are reviewed in line with production .
  • To produce weekly and monthly reports on activities undertaken
  • To input all account and telesales activity into excel
  • To play an active role in Sales Strategy Meetings.
  • To provide strategic account plans for top 10 managed accounts.
  • To work closely with General Manager and revenue team to ensure rate integrity of all accounts.
  • To ensure budget targets are exceeded
  • Take an active role in entertaining and hosting events as required to promote the hotel.
  • Actively encourage sales activity from all team members.
  • P&Ls • Help to develop marketing and promotional plans and implementing them throughout the year. • To ensure expenditure is controlled in accordance with guidelines and within budget on purchasing on a monthly basis. • Be actively involved in executing revenue strategies and sales initiatives by being an integral member of the hotel revenue team • To adhere to Company image standards . • To take on any other reasonable duties or carry out requests necessary to ensure we deliver the highest standard of service in the hotel
