Part Qualified Accountant

Our client is an Accountancy practice, based in the city of Salisbury.

They are looking to recruit an experienced, ideally Part Qualified, Accountant to join their busy team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accounts for clients including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders
  • Preparation of tax computations and completing self-assessment tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Liaison with clients including but not limited to provision of advice on VAT, bookkeeping, taxation and related matters
  • Liaising with HMRC and other regulatory bodies
  • Providing in house support and training to other staff members

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified by experience, AAT or part qualified ACCA or equivalent with minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Previous experience working in an accountancy practice preferred
  • Sage and excel software essential. Other accountancy software experience an advantage
  • To be self-motivated and have a willingness to take responsibility;
  • Demonstrable discretion and trustworthiness;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • To be able to work independently and to use your own initiative;
  • To have good communication skills;
  • To working as part of a team

The role is initially remote working, but there are plans to move the role back in to the office as restrictions lift.

Hours are ideally 8.30am-4.30 mon-thurs, and Friday 8.00am-1.30pm
