10 Jun Sous Chef
Our client is an award-winning independent café, wine bar, restaurant and wine shop in Frome. They focus on quality produce and a menu that changes with the seasons and are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to get involved.
You will join a strong and friendly brigade of chefs working 5 days / 48 hours per week, with two regular consecutive days off each week giving you a better work/life balance.
With excellent organisation and management skills, you will support the Head Chef in all aspects of the kitchen including ordering, kitchen management – with an ability to effectively and competently lead the kitchen during service in the Head Chef’s absence – and general day to day chef activities.
You will stay calm under pressure, maintain high standards during service, and for all food safety and hygiene procedures including food labelling, temperatures and cleaning schedules.
Pizza experience and/or bread making experience is desirable but not essential as you will be trained to a high standard. There are also opportunities to be trained in other aspects of the business including wine and coffee.
